I do a lot of headshots. It really is important to have a great photo of yourself in today's world with all the social networking sites out there. I offer great one-on-one rates and even better group/event rates. I do events every year at Saks (another is coming up soon - I will be sure to post it!) you go in and get your makeup done professionally and get your photo taken by me. I also can come into your office and update all of your employee's photos for their bio pages or it's just me and you! It is fast affordable and totally worth it. Southern Cal has become my second home. I travel down south more often than to Chicago... sorry mom and dad! However most of my family lives down there now so it really is a home base. Lori and Phil were married last September at Mount Airy Mansion in DC. You can click here to view their wedding photos! Sunset back then came fast that we lost all the light after their family photos were taken. I suggested a trash the dress photoshoot - where couples get to get all fancy again and really be carefree and have fun with bridal portraits. I was returning in November to shoot Lori's brother's wedding so it worked out well. AND was well worth it!!!

Tisha and Paul kept their friends and family in the dark on the baby name they picked for their soon to be daughter. I tried my hardest to get them to tell me but it was a no go! All through the shoot at the beach, in their home, on the ride to the beach.... They did give me a hint, there is an "A" in the spelling. You will have to check back to find out, I got the chance to meet her at the beginning of the year.

Eli and his parents met me in Marin at the most wonderful location I have seen in thus far. There were playgrounds, rivers, waterfalls, bridges....very magical. I remember back when I was young, during family vacations or when I was at camp, I loved getting lost in the woods. This shoot reminded me of those days. It was Eli's mom's favorite spot growing up and a special place where their family goes! Thanks for sharing Leah.

These twins were still fighting off a cold when I photographed them last year. At first I wasn't sure if they didn't know what to do with me, if they were just worn out, or both! My mother insisted on me photographing her grandsons, my nephews, in the 2 red sweaters she bought them over Thanksgiving break. It was all about the red sweaters. So we went to the beach in Long Beach at sunset for these holiday photos. You better love them grandma;)

I got to dog sit my favorite SF pup Jameson last weekend. He is a sweet little cuddlier who likes to bark at huge dogs.....punk! He was missing his mom and dad by the end of the weekend. Last week I had the honor of photographing The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence wedding bells bingo night. "The Sisters have devoted themselves to community service, ministry and outreach to those on the edges, and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment. They believe all people have a right to express their unique joy and beauty and use humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency and guilt that chain the human spirit." Wedding bells bingo night raised money to help fight prop 8. Celebrate same sex marriage and vote no on prop 8!!!!!!

Bingo night is a 3rd Wednesday of every month and there is a different theme every time! I recommend checking out a bingo night if you are not familiar! Great people, great cause, and a fun night out.

I flew to DC 2 weekends ago for a wedding at the Mount Airy Mansion. It was by far the HOTTEST weather I had not only worked in but have been in since I lived in the Midwest! I like going through the norms of each child. Like capturing bath time or the waking after a nap. When I arrived at Cash and Ruby's home I think the little guy was not ready for me. We started the shoot but didn't get too far because Cash needed a little nap. I took a short break and ran a few errands to return to the bright eyes and bushy tails of these to hams...the break was worth it;-)

Gorgeous LA! It was cold and rainy during my trip to LA, I think it was warmer in San Francisco!! The weather pulled it together, as I knew it would, on the day of my family shoot at Malibu Pier. I had tons of fun playing in the sand. Thanks, AJ, Jude, Aaron, and Jennifer.

Take brother and sister twins, a huge open space, and the fact that they are just learning to walk and you get one of the most active mornings of my life. Not to mention that the photo session was during one of the hottest weeks in SF yet. I was chasing Ella and Holden around the De Young grounds all morning. They are two very independent kids and they are fast! It was hard to get them to stay in one spot together.

These two have the most amazingly beautiful eyes I have ever seen! Thanks Patricia, Holden and Ella;-)

Every now and then I get a child that is just not happy to have me photographing them for a good hour or so. Lewis was the first in a long time. I tried extra hard to ignore and pretend that I wasn't actually there just for the photography. It usually takes time to warm up to someone new and I am not kidding when I say that the warmth didn't come until the very end of the shoot. Looking back, I actually couldn't be happier with the photos. (I was nervous!!!)

It was pretty hot & humid the afternoon I photographed Kayla. I am not used to that kind of weather. More surprised was Kayla! Being bundled up all winter I witnessed her touch her first grass. Her response was mixed confused/interested. It was pretty cool to see. She was all smiley and happy throughout the photoshoot which works well for me!

I had some fun hanging out with Jen and Melissa downtown this past weekend. We hit up the Art Institute of Chicago and did some shopping. They are creating a modern art wing that is hoped to be completed by next summer. There was a lot of construction, galleries closed, and pieces in storage because of building. Good thing it is a huge museum with one of the most impressive collections that there was still too much to see. Besides getting yelled at a handful of times.....it was a nice trip.
