I love doing one-on-one photoshoots. Not many people like having their photo taken, or so they say, even fewer like a photoshoot of just them! But everyone loves when they have a great photographs of themselves.

the art institute

I had some fun hanging out with Jen and Melissa downtown this past weekend. We hit up the Art Institute of Chicago and did some shopping. They are creating a modern art wing that is hoped to be completed by next summer. There was a lot of construction, galleries closed, and pieces in storage because of building. Good thing it is a huge museum with one of the most impressive collections that there was still too much to see. Besides getting yelled at a handful of times.....it was a nice trip.

I was very busy working when I was home visiting my parents in Chicago. Here is the first of many blogs from my trip. This is my college roommate Mary's first child's Christening. She is a little angel!

After a couple reschedules because of sickness, I finally got a chance to photograph Devon. We started at her home where she showed me all of her cool toys. Then we attempted to go to Chrissy Field but we were nearly knocked down by the winds that whipped sand everywhere! Luckily the Palace of Fine Arts was close by and a safe backup with the high walls. Overall the day was beautiful throughout the city and I couldn't be more pleased with how the photos turned out.
